Exploring new ways to create visual interest with assets was an exciting challenge, particularly when defining the overarching look and feel for the major update marketing art. Inspiration was drawn from World War II nose-art motifs, combining hand-painted animal illustrations with bold stencil typography. This approach gave each update its own recognizable identity while remaining cohesive within the Company of Heroes 3 brand.
The outcome was a distinctive and flexible system of live service artwork that engaged the player community, strengthened recognition of ongoing content, and expanded the game’s presence across social channels and partner platforms.
